The Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International team is comprised of six experienced brokers whose focus is on building relationships and assisting clients in the best way possible.
Lester E. Osborn, CCIM, SIOR
Lester is a founding principal of Piedmont Properties. From inception in 1993, he has overseen the emergence of the firm as the leading entrepreneurial commercial real estate services company specializing in industrial and commercial real estate. Lester has experience in all phases of real estate planning from site selection, valuation, project feasibility analysis, financing, development, and sale or lease negotiations. He brings a unique perspective to the commercial real estate industry, having started his professional career working for McClean Trucking and Southeastern Freight Lines. During that period he gained national and professional experience working in operations, sales, and logistics within a 13-state territory.
In his early years at Piedmont, Lester focused on transportation real estate and represented national trucking brands as well as regional firms and property investors. Over time, that experience has broadened to include warehousing, distribution, assembly, manufacturing, and build-to-suit.
Lester is actively involved in 24 Hours of Booty, which raises funds and awareness for cancer survivors and research. He is currently on the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Retention Committee.
A. Scott Hensley, CCIM, SIOR
Scott is one of Charlotte's leading commercial real estate service providers and specializes in the industrial marketplace by serving buyers, sellers, tenants, landlords, and developers. As part of Charlotte's business community since 1994, Scott uses his real estate experience, local relationships, and market knowledge to quickly and efficiently evaluate client needs, educate them on current market conditions, and help them make good real estate decisions. Scott understands his clients' most valuable asset is their time, and throughout each transaction he continually looks for ways to add value and save time. His project experience ranges from working with the existing property inventory to taking raw land through the entitlement and zoning process, to full development and occupancy. He frequently engages local city planners, general contractors, architects, project managers, attorneys, surveyors, ED representatives, environment consultants, and other specialists to assist his clients.
Scott joined Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International in 1999. Earlier in his professional life, he worked in sales and marketing with IBM in Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia.
Frank A. Mccleneghan
Frank is a native Charlottean and has developed many long-lasting relationships with decision makers in the Charlotte business community. Since starting his real estate career in 1984, Frank has focused on office leasing and sales, as well as tenant representation. Recently, Frank added investment sales and land assemblage to his real estate expertise.
Over the past several years, Frank has focused his attention on properties in Midtown and SouthEnd Charlotte. Frank has represented numerous landlords with space in Atherton Mill, Camden Village, and on South Boulevard (Westport Big & Tall). He has also represented users in the area such as Hill Partners, Michael DeMayo, Modern Fabrics, and Liquid Design. Frank is well-versed in land, retail, office, and multi-family in Midtown Charlotte.
James h. Plyler
Jim is a Charlotte native and has over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate field in and around the Charlotte Metropolitan area. Prior to the start of his real estate career, Jim worked for a large national bank and a major motor carrier. His real estate career began with Southern Real Estate as a commercial broker. He then worked for CB Richard Ellis, where he was a First Vice President. Jim joined AAC Real Estate and worked on the development side of real estate for over five years. During that time, Jim was responsible for the development and leasing of close to 1,000,000 square feet of industrial, office, and flex space at their Whitehall Development and Shopton Ridge Business Park.
Jim served for six years on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission and reviewed thousands of zoning cases. He also served on MUMPO (Mecklenburg County, Union County, Metropolitan Planning Organization), the organization that plans and sets priorities for future road projects in the metropolitan area.
Steve has been active in commercial real estate in the Charlotte region since 1988. Steve is active in leasing and brokering commercial real estate including retail, office, and development sites.
Prior to his involvement with the real estate brokerage business, Steve was employed by Stout-Beck and Associates as a commercial real estate appraiser. His experience in valuation of various property types, including shopping centers, apartments, complexes, office buildings, self storage facilities, marinas, and land lends a unique approach to his understanding of the commercial real estate business.
Christian is a Charlotte native and has been a part of the Piedmont Properties team since 2016. Over the past three years, Christian has completed over 100 transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $25,000,000 on behalf of various institutional clients. After starting his career in Atlanta, Georgia brokering industrial warehouse, flex, and truck terminal transactions, Christian broadened his approach, working with clients across the Southeast. Through representing a mixture of entrepreneurial investors and national industrial companies, Christian brings a unique approach, focusing on heavy industrial properties with potential upside and/or redevelopment opportunity. His project experiences range from third-party brokerage of industrial warehouses to acquiring, investing, developing, leasing, and selling industrial properties.
Christian understands that his career in real estate is most effective when he is providing a solution to business owner and real estate investor problems and enjoys the challenges that each new opportunity presents.
Todd Younghans, CCIM, SIOR
Todd Younghans joined the Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International office in February 2018 as an Industrial Specialist. His commercial real estate experience spans over 20 years, beginning in Charlotte in 1993. He began as a commercial appraiser with a small firm. In 1996, he joined a North Carolina-based firm aligned with Cushman & Wakefield as an office and industrial broker. In 2000 he relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, opening the first of two offices in South Carolina serving as Executive Vice President. Todd then relocated to Greenville, South Carolina in 2002 with the same company. His focus was on the industrial, office, and investment sectors covering the entire state, and produced an extensive corporate client list. In 2012, Todd relocated overseas tot he Cayman Islands, focusing on investment real estate with Coldwell Banker before returning to Cushman & Wakefield for two more years in a Valuation and Advisory role.
Todd received his SIOR designation in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2002 and his CCIM designation while in the Cayman Islands in 2013. Having worked and lived in several different markets, he brings unique experience and a broad market outlook to the clients he represents. His focus is on investment properties and serving the corporate end user in the Charlotte Region and the upstate markets of South Carolina. Todd currently resides in Charlotte.
Caitlin is a Charlotte native and has been a part of the Piedmont Properties team since 2014. As the Office Administrator, she oversees all operations of the business including marketing, accounting, and property management. Additionally, Caitlin assists with contract preparation and other general brokerage duties. Prior to working at Piedmont Properties, she interned with a residential real estate firm in Charlotte.
Caitlin graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BSBA in Management. She is a licensed real estate broker in north Carolina.
Kathy is a Charlotte native and has been a part of the Piedmont Properties team since February of 2015. She manages the marketing and design of new materials within the company. Along with her duties as Marketing Director, Kathy holds the position of Administrative Assistant and assists the brokers with new listings, contract preparation, and any other tasks the brokers ask of her. Before working at Piedmont Properties, Kathy began her career as a Marketing Coordinator for a residential real estate company in Charlotte, and then moved to a catering company where she held the role of Marketing Director. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys doing calligraphy, invitation design, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Chevy.
Kathy graduated from UNC Wilmington with a BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Spanish.
