Lester E. Osborn, CCIM, SIOR

Lester is the founding principal of Piedmont Properties and one of the most respected industrial real estate brokers in the Charlotte market. With over 30 years of brokerage experience, he has advised clients through every stage of the real estate process, including site selection, valuation, feasibility analysis, financing, development, and sale or lease negotiations. His comprehensive approach and market expertise have earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor to property owners, users, and investors alike.

Lester began his career in the transportation industry, working in operations and logistics for McLean Trucking and Southeastern Freight Lines. This hands-on experience gave him insight into the needs of industrial users and laid the foundation for his transition into commercial real estate. Since founding Piedmont Properties, Lester has combined that operational knowledge with strategic market expertise to guide clients through complex decisions and deliver long-term value.

A. Scott Hensley, CCIM, SIOR

Scott is recognized as one of the top commercial real estate brokers in the Charlotte market, with more than 30 years of experience and a strong track record of delivering results for clients across the region. He brings a strategic, client-driven approach to every assignment, leveraging his deep market knowledge and long-standing local relationships to guide users, investors, and owners through informed real estate decisions. Since joining Piedmont Properties in 1999, Scott has been a part of a broad range of projects, from working with existing property inventory to taking raw land through the entitlement and zoning process to full development and occupancy. His ability to understand the real estate life cycle makes him a valuable resource for clients with complex needs.

Scott is also an active leader in the industry. He has been serving on the Town of Huntersville Planning Board since 2019 and remains actively involved in both the CRCBR and CORFAC International networks. He served as President of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR) in 2012.

Christian Samartino, SIOR

Christian is a Charlotte native and a top producer at Piedmont Properties, where he has been an integral part of the team since 2016. He has built a strong reputation across the Southeast and nationally as a leading broker in the Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) sector. Christian specializes in heavy industrial properties with value-add or redevelopment potential, representing a diverse client base ranging from entrepreneurial investors to major national industrial companies.

With a comprehensive background in industrial real estate, Christian’s experience includes third-party brokerage of industrial warehouses as well as acquiring, investing, developing, leasing, and selling industrial properties. He consistently delivers strategic, market-driven solutions tailored to each client’s goals. Known for his deep industry knowledge and deal-making creativity, Christian continues to be a go-to advisor for complex industrial transactions throughout the region and beyond.

Frank A. Mccleneghan

Frank began his real estate career in 1984 and has been a part of the Piedmont team since 1999. A Charlotte native, he brings decades of experience and long-standing relationships with key decision-makers and industry experts, offering unmatched local expertise and insight. His deep understanding of the Charlotte market continues to be a valuable asset to both his clients and the Piedmont team.

Frank is highly experienced in the intricacies of land assemblages for multifamily development, having successfully coordinated numerous multi-parcel transactions in some of the city's most desirable neighborhoods. With an additional focus on tenant representation, Frank has been a trusted advisor to many office and retail clients throughout the Charlotte area. He also has experience in landlord representation, investment sales, flex properties, and more.

James h. Plyler

Jim is a Charlotte native and has been an active commercial real estate broker in the region for over 40 years. He has represented an impressive roster of clients, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, First Citizens Bank, Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, Advance Auto Parts, H&R Block, and General Electric, among others. After working for a large national bank and a major motor carrier, Jim began his real estate career in 1985 and later joined Piedmont Properties in 2003. Jim’s expertise covers the full spectrum of industrial, flex, retail, and land transactions, and his extensive network and deep market knowledge make him an invaluable part of the Piedmont team.

Jim served six years on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission, where he reviewed zoning cases, and on the Mecklenburg County-Union County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO), helping set priorities for the region’s future transportation infrastructure.

Stewart Hasty

Stewart joined Piedmont Properties in 2021 and brings more than 12 years of experience advising office and industrial occupiers, including tenants and owner/users, across local and national markets. His expertise includes lease negotiations, site selection, portfolio optimization, build-to-suit oversight, and overall real estate strategy. Stewart has also led the disposition of single- and multi-tenant facilities and the marketing and sale of major land tracts.

In parallel with his occupier work, Stewart has developed a strong niche advising education and nonprofit organizations. Most notably, he has been directly involved in the acquisition of nine charter school sites for a leading national charter school operator, supporting both ground-up developments and adaptive reuse projects that often involve complex entitlement and municipal coordination.

A Charlotte native, Stewart is known for his market insight, attention to detail, and tactical negotiation approach. He works closely with clients to align real estate decisions with long-term operational and financial objectives, delivering practical and results-driven outcomes.

BLAKE OSBORN

Blake joined the Piedmont team in 2023 and specializes in landlord representation for industrial and flex buildings. Before transitioning into brokerage, Blake worked as a Project Manager, gaining hands-on experience in construction management, client coordination, and cost control. This background has given him a strong understanding of how industrial and flex spaces function, allowing him to position properties strategically, drive successful leasing outcomes, and foster strong client relationships. His ability to listen, problem-solve, and guide clients through complex leasing processes makes him a trusted partner for landlords looking to maximize their property’s potential.

As a Charlotte native, Blake has strong local knowledge and a clear understanding of the area's industrial market. He closely follows market activity and emerging trends to keep his clients informed and competitive.

CHRISTOPHER SHULSTAD

Christopher is a Charlotte native who specializes in off-market transactions with a focus on self storage, marinas, and industrial land development. With a background in development analytics, he helps clients navigate the complexities of real estate to make informed, strategic decisions. His strong network across North Carolina and relationship-driven approach foster trust, collaboration, and long-term success.

He began his real estate career as a Development Analyst with Morningstar Properties, where he helped double the company’s development platform. Christopher joined the Piedmont team in 2025, bringing with him expertise in self-storage and marinas. Outside the office, he’s an avid fisherman and owner of Carolina Coast Kids Fishing Camp.

Becca Jolley

Becca joined the Piedmont Properties team in September 2019. In her role as Marketing Director, Becca oversees all aspects of marketing for the company, utilizing digital, email, social media, and direct marketing channels. In addition to overseeing marketing strategy, Becca provides direct support to the brokerage team by developing custom marketing materials, managing listing services, and assisting with proposal and contract preparation. She has previously worked in marketing roles for a commercial real estate firm in Greenville, SC, and a student housing complex in Clemson, SC.

Becca graduated from Clemson University with a double degree in Marketing (BS) and Financial Management (BS) with an emphasis in Real Estate.

With over 17 years of property management experience, Campbell brings a deep well of knowledge and expertise to Piedmont Property Management Services. Her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to navigate tenant and vendor relationships make her an invaluable part of our team. Whether she’s coordinating maintenance, managing budgets, or ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, Campbell’s focus is always on protecting the owner’s investment and delivering exceptional service.
